Cinnamon Swirl French Toast

Thick slices of our cinnamon swirl loaf are already a treat — but dip them in a silky custard and fry until golden, and you’ve got the coziest brunch imaginable. Perfect for a lazy weekend morning or a special holiday breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 10 slices Sour Crumb Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

  • 4 eggs

  • 1  cup milk (or cream for extra richness) 

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp of nutmeg

  • Butter, for frying

Instructions

  1. Whisk together eggs, milk, honey, vanilla, and nutmeg in a shallow dish.

  2. Dip each slice of bread into the custard, coating both sides.

  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  4. Cook each slice until golden brown on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Serving Suggestion
Top with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or even a dollop of whipped cream.
